Ventures are on-campus businesses run by us in order to raise awareness, build chapter membership, and earn money for international projects. Past examples include Thrift Sales, Hot Chocolate Sales, and Hold’em for Hunger poker tournaments.
Hunger Lunch is a simple but delicious meal of rice, beans, and cornbread; representative of a typical meal for many in developing countries. Through partnerships with local restaurants, students sell meals on campus once a week to raise awareness for extreme poverty and raise money for our project.
We do a lot of fun things as a team, like explore the wondrous foods of Austin!
Students have the opportunity to volunteer as part of our international project. See some of our former members on their trip to India in 2013. Contact us for more information on how to apply for summer 2017.
